How do I build my Dream Player?
Tap DRAW on the main screen to spin a random ATP season. When a season is revealed, tap one of your 6 empty slots (Serve, Forehand, Backhand, Return, Movement, Mental) to assign it. Repeat 6 times until all slots are filled.
What is a Synergy?
If two of your attribute slots come from the same player (e.g. Federer's Serve and Federer's Backhand), you unlock a Synergy bonus that adds points to your Overall Rating. There are 7 possible Synergies — check the ? button in the app for the full list.
What does the Ranking Filter do?
The filter at the bottom of the main screen limits which ATP seasons can be drawn. "All Seasons" includes all 3,626 seasons from 1991–2023. Top 100, Top 50, and Top 10 restrict draws to only the highest-ranked seasons, increasing your chances of elite attributes.
My progress disappeared — where did it go?
Your draft is saved automatically after each action. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, progress is not recoverable as data is stored locally on your device. Your personal best score is also stored locally and will be reset on reinstall.
The simulation seems stuck — what do I do?
After winning a Grand Slam, an overlay appears asking you to continue. Tap "CONTINUE" to start the next Slam. If you don't see it, try changing the playback speed — the overlay will appear. If the issue persists, force-quit and reopen the app, then tap Replay.
Can I replay a simulation without losing my player?
Yes. Once your Dream Player is built and you reach the simulation screen, you can tap "Replay" at any time to run the simulation again with the same player. Your draft is not affected.
What does the simulation speed control do?
The 1×, 2×, 4×, and 10× buttons on the simulation screen control how fast matches are revealed. Your chosen speed is remembered for future sessions.
Is the outcome of the simulation random?
Yes, but weighted by your player's stats. A higher Overall Rating and relevant surface stats (clay, grass) significantly increase your chances of winning each match. The Calendar Slam (28-0) is rare but achievable with an elite build.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All ATP data is bundled with the app. No internet connection is required to play. Crash reporting and analytics require a connection but their absence does not affect gameplay.
How do I reset my player?
Tap "Reset" in the top-right corner of the main screen. You will be asked to confirm before your current build is permanently cleared.
Known Issues
Fixed in v1.0Slam complete overlay occasionally not visible
After winning a Grand Slam, the overlay could appear invisible. Changing the playback speed revealed it. Fixed by separating the animation render pass.
TipSimulation freezes at a Slam boundary
If the simulation appears frozen between Slams, tap "CONTINUE" on the overlay, or change the playback speed to trigger a re-render. If the issue persists, tap Replay.
